As a steaming novice, I honestly had no idea the water capacity that I needed so I chose the best reviewed, cheapest option. I have now learned my lesson but I will not be returning as the product does what it says and it was cheap enough that I can keep this for small needs and buy another one to really hold it down if it comes to that. This steams 1-2 tops at a time. Need like 3 or 4 refills for a blazer etc. Annoying part is you have to let the top cool before refilling so it's not good for group steaming. Get a bigger capacity than 4.9 oz (147 ml) if planning to use at an event etc.SN 1: Although it says 'Kills Bacteria', I don't use this as a cleaning substitute. I use it as an iron sub. Steaming and dry cleaning aren't synonymous in that way.SN2: If you don't have a garment rack (or an over-the-door steaming pad), hang on shower curtain rod. Tug on the bottom of the piece to create tension as you steam each section. Just pointing steam at it will take a million refills. At that point you could've just did the old-school, "close the bathroom door w the shower blasting at the highest temp" and let science do it's thing for 20 mins lol.

I bought this steamer for an unusual purpose, fixing doll hair, and It works great. I fix up American girl dolls and sometimes the hair needs to be straightened out after cleaning it or to restore it (like curls). The common method was using a brand new flat iron (since natural oils in human hair would ruin the wig and glue) or boil washing. This combines the process and makes it much easier to fix dolls. The steamer is smaller than I thought but filling up to the line I was able to fix two dolls with one tank full. I tried on two different hair types, one straight and one curly. On the straight hair I just gently steamed until I could brush through, the temperature wasn't too hot but enough to give the hair some shine. The curly hair I put in rollers and ran the steamer until the hair was damp enough to let set and cool and could remove the rollers. Both turned out great! If you're fixing up dolls with similar wigs and are worried about burning the doll with a flat iron or yourself trying to boil wash, this is a good alternative. It's easy to set up after reading the directions and filling, warms up nicely, and will dry quickly. The size was also easy to work with, I thought it was going to be bigger and harder to maneuver. Recommended.

I only use bottled water as minerals in tap water can affect performance. Heats very quickly, lightweight and does the job. Not ironing quality but remove wrinkles quickly, this fits the bill.

This steamer works great, the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the water runs out really quickly and you have to wait for it to be turned off, unplugged, and cooled off before refilling it to use again. Good for a single piece of clothing, not if you're doing a bunch at once.

I was not looking for anything extravagant when it came to a steamer. So this has been perfect. It is ready in like a minute (if that) and gets the job done. I will say if you have a lot of things to steam, you will likely have to refill it a couple times. It only takes a small amount of water, which turns to steam quickly.

This steamer provides ONLY 4.5 minutes of continual steam which means if you are working on shirt, dresses, coats, curtains, linen blankets, etc., you will have to turn off the unit a bunch of times, remove the top (it's not a flip up line irons) and refill with water... over and over again. The advertisement claims there is 10 minutes of steam but the ad in the box says 5 minutes and it's less than that. I will be returning this product because of this. However, it DOES work very well. If you need it for a few minutes you will enjoy this steamer. Or, if you are taking it on vacation, another win.
