Skechers Men's Go Max-Athletic Air Mesh Slip on Walking Shoe Sneaker

Been buying these type of slip-on mesh Skechers shoes for about 5 years now, I own 3 pairs of Go Walks, each with subtle variations. For someone with nerve sensitivity in the feet, the extra wide option is a must for looser pressure and tension. I also order 1 full size up for a little extra room even though the shoe does fit to size, no problems with them falling off or sliding around too much, ends up being snug with poofy socks. The all black color is easy going and matches pretty much any dress attire without looking like a total slacker. The tread design has a thin fuzzy coating on sections of them, not sure if it really adds any benefit with slipping as it wears off with a few good walk-abouts. With all my Skechers there are a few areas where they drop the ball, this pair is the best so far.THE BAD:- The tread design! Not as bad as other models, but the design still traps in dirt, mud and debris. Why can't Skechers get this right?! Nothing like walking indoors to only find the bottoms of your shoes are full of gravel and dirt. This tread pattern is a huge improvement over others, but still traps in big chunks of wet dirt pretty well.- Excessive packaging. The little hangtag with the foam sample is a waste of packing and materials. Sure it's okay to have a sample in the store, but to ship with every pair? The chain is a pain to remove and the whole thing goes straight into the trash.... That's about it.THE GOOD:- True to size.- Nice large foot opening and tongue that doesn't cut off your circulation (Had a previous pair I returned because the opening was so small my foot could barely fit in and then it cut off my circulation, so watch for that, and I'm an average sized guy.).- Tread design catches less small debris and gravel, still traps a bit of mud. Better design than the rest. If you like a pristine clean shoe, you'll have to scrub them clean often.- Extra wide is a very nice option, this pair feels the loosest extra width yet as after a few hours of wearing them my feet feel less fatigued.- Light weight, easy slip on and off with opening for foot not being too small. Breathe easy, no heavy sweating.- Found mine on sale here for twenty, came back and haven't been able to find that price again.- The pressed cardboard shoe inserts are actually nice to have, I use them to support my other floppy shoes.- Stylish, not too old man looking, decent color options.- Has a heel tab for helping to pull your shoe on snug (Many models don't have this, why? Not sure. That triangle hole on the GoWalk heels is useless.)- Easy to clean, can wipe or hand wash and air dries in less than a day.So far these are definitely the best built and designed Skechers I've found in this style. Probably going to get another pair for backup.
