Product Description

Limited Edition - individually numbered and only 6,000 produced worldwide! The AstroVettes - as they were called, came with the thunderous roar of a 427 Turbo-Jet V-8 engine, four-speed wide-range transmission and 390 horsepower. The gold body donned black-painted “wings” designed by iconic stylist Alex Tremulis, evoking the colors of the Apollo 12 module. This AFX car represents the corvette used by Lunar Module Pilot, Alan Bean. To Alan, the fourth person to walk on the moon, said driving his AstroVette was the one thing that compared to the thrill of flying through space. The Mega-G+ is easily the lightest chassis you can buy. Add that to the lowest center of gravity and you get a car that is fast and nimble. Most realistic. Best Performance. Fun to drive. What a combination! The AFX Mega-G+ HO slot cars are best driven with a 90 or 120 ohm controller such as the AFX 21036 120 ohm controller. Chassis: Mega-G+ Short (1.5 inch) wheelbase chassis without the body clip Features: clear windows, extra long tapered guide pin, level 30 neodymium traction magnets, durable Nylatron chassis material, long lasting high carbon motor brushes, fully assembled and ready to race on most HO scale slot car tracks including AFX, Auto World, Tyco, etc. Includes: 1 - 1969 AstroVette LMP12 Limited Edition HO slot car. Note: Recommended for ages 8 to adult.
