I wanted my surveillance monitor to be viewed only by me when I was at my computer station inside my home. When my daughters friends or the next door neighbors come over, I don't want them to be able to stand there talking and be watching that monitor. I was pleasantly pleased that the size matched up perfectly and it went on straight the very first time! While the LUSA DESIGN Laptop Privacy Screen does work good for the most part, I still had to remove my monitor from the wall to slightly adjust it to face a little more my way to block any viewing from the side where people would stand to talk to me. According to my measurements, the blocking of the screen took almost a 40 degree angle for complete black screen. Anyways, I'm glad I got it, it works just like I wanted

So the actual mechanics of this is great. I am a teacher, so I often have sensitive information on my screen (student grades etc). With a small classroom, some students have to sit near my desk so I wanted the screen to have the privacy filter. This does as it is supposed. When I first started using it my students were very confused because they told me they thought I was working on my a black screen. They got a kick out of moving in and out of view. Now while it works, the application isn't great. There are two options, one to put tabs to slide the screen in and out and the other to stick it directly on the sides of the screen. I wanted the slide in option so I could remove the screen when needed (it interferes when I try and work outside with sunlight) but when I tried that it can't slide in and the tabs just popped off - there isn't enough space. So I ended up sticking it on completely which again, works, but now it makes it harder to work in the sun at my kids soccer practices.

Packaging is in a semi rigid envelope. In extreme circumstances, I can anticipate it being damaged if shipper bends package. That did not happen and I received product in perfect condition. Product comes with TWO sets of 'plastic tabs' (the things you stick on the monitor bezel to hold it in place OR you can physically use the included double sided clear tape to stick this privacy screen directly onto your monitor. It also comes with one set of screen wipes + small microfiber cloth.

My use case is mainly for airport use / traveling, but I was able to test it with my laptop screen. It's PERFECT Top to bottom, but left to right, there is about 1cm that's not covered. While this kind of bothered me, I realize that without this space, removing the product would be very difficult, so it's not a big deal. Privacy testing, you literally have to be right behind the screen to see everything on my monitor. If you were standing next to me, it would still be viewable but more difficult to view everything. Without actually measuring, anything wider than 45 degrees is not viewable, from my personal testing. Recommended.
