Ring Lights are glitchy
One of the two lamps I received will not go off. It will go bright and dim, but will not completely go off. We kept it hoping the light was just being glitchy and would correct itself but it has not. Also, look closely before purchasing because there is a black cord exposed connecting the hanging rings that is not very noticeable in the images. It cheapens the look quite a bit. But I added tall mirrors behind the night stands to try to make them look more glamorous. I reached out to the seller to resolve the defective lamp issue, and have not heard back yet after 2-3 business days. Once they do, I will update. UPDATE: They allowed a return after 30 days (due to time traveling to property out of town to troubleshoot lamp issues.). Had to pay $29 to return the heavy lamp for a refund. Did not work out for me 🤷🏼♀️

Ok, first I really, really, REALLY hope there is an eye doctor, friend of, family, someone in the eye business, who will get one of these lamps for an optical shop. I mean how can you not see glasses?! How cool would it be to see this at your eye doc's office? I would flip. Now that I got that out-
It is super easy to assemble. An over tired, old, sometimes cranky, and defiantly over caffeinated mom could put it together wither her eyes mostly closed. That was because I was super tired, but was also really excited to get my lamp. You have two poles that you screw together. A white cord that you slide from one pole through the other to plug into the lamp base. Then you attach the light pole to the base.
The cord has a plug that you attach to the cord. It is a two-prong plug. Really easy. The on/off/dimmer button is on the center of the base. You have to touch the button. This isn't a touch lamp, where you can touch any part that is metal and it will respond. Only the button changes the settings.
This is an LED lamp. The rings are the bulbs. When they burn out, you don't change the bulbs. Your lamp is toast. Get a new lamp. The only downside is that. Upside- depending on how much you use it, it could quite possibly last a lifetime and never have to replace lightbulbs.
It doesn't have a remote. So, if you are not right next to the lamp to touch the button *gasp*, you have to get up and turn it off. Or get one of the children to do it. You know the one that 'loves' to push buttons.
In all seriousness, this is a fun, quirky lamp. If that is you at all get it. You won't be disappointed when you see the light.

NOTE: FYI - The lamp I received is not the lamp pictured on the product page. It is similar except for the lighting mechanism and the way the lights connect to a power source. That said, I think they improved on the design.
Honestly, I initially ordered this desk lamp more because it was a novelty and less because it is an actual lighting instrument. Out of the box, the first thing I noticed was the weight & feel of each individual piece. The weight of the base is substantial. It’s also constructed primarily of high-quality materials, so I was immediately encouraged and surprised. In general, I stink at putting things together (thankfully my better half is very good at it) but it took me less than five minutes from box to being fully assembled. Color me impressed.
I wasn’t quite sure how the rings would illuminate because they don’t plug into the main body of the lamp. Instead they simply sit / rest on their respective posts. And when I turned on the lamp, they magically came to life.
I was completely surprised at how bright this lamp can be (it’s dimmable of course) and the ability tp change colors. Which brings me to the one beef I have: You operate the lamp by touching / tapping it. The issue I encountered was that the main post of the lamp was unresponsive much of the time I was trying to dim or change the color of the lamp, thus the reason I deducted one star. I wish it had come with a remote control like every other lamp or light has these days.
Otherwise I would recommend this lamp for your home or to give as a gift.

This is a wild looking lamp. It’s a great example of what lighting can look like if we ditch the bulb idea entirely. The colored loops are striking and vibrant which reflect in windows and mirrors nicely.
A single tap brings it alive with a slow rotation of colors. With a bit of practice you can double tap the switch to pause the color. If you turn it on with multiple taps it stays on white lite mode.
It won’t fully light a room, but it works great as an accent light.
