Late October 2023 update: I had to throw the shoes out. The soles were completely coming apart and the wiring was exposed. It was dangerous. Seriously disappointed especially considering how expensive these shoes were. And I have a very sad 8 year old because his favorite shoes fell apart so quickly.

10/12/2023 update: one of the replacement shoes we received no longer charges. We’ve had the shoes for two weeks. I’m pretty annoyed that one shoe didn’t hold a charge. Another had internal connection issues and now a third shoe won’t charge. I plug it in and nothing happens. It doesn’t flash red like the other pair.

The first pair of shoes I ordered for my kiddo for his birthday. The right shoe's battery lasted less than an hour before dying. We figured it was a fluke and submitted a request for a replacement through amazon. The replacement came quickly but had an issue this time with the left shoe's connection. The lights did not stay lit when my 8 year old was walking around. They'd flash in intensity and not all of the lights lit up.

Quality control is severely lacking IMO. The shoes are very expensive for two pairs of shoes to have issues. They also run on the small size. The size I ordered (same size as my kids other shoes) was snug so definitely size up.
