TLDR - They are good
Replacing a 15 year old set of $35 Logitech 2.1 computer speakers. They still work, but I noticed that they were getting muddy and music sounded bad compared to some inexpensive earbuds.
These are not the most expensive Edifiers, but I figured for basically computer desk duty they'll be adequate. I need them to do computer speaker duty but also movie and music duty as this is in my office/man-cave.
There is one drawback, these speakers will let you know shortcomings in your music collection. You can tell when you're listening to FLAC. Not kidding.
I'm not an audiophile. Hard core audiophiles don't shop at this price point. Those people use words I just don't know the meaning of. All I know is these speakers are good. There are audiophiles on the internet who reviewed these speakers and they said they were good and they used all the fancy audiophile words. So, go find those. From my perspective, the highs, mids and lows are all there, nothing is missing. Of course, I'm going from some worn out cheap computer speakers so there's that.
As I type this I'm listening to some jazz at 320kbit and I can find no faults. But I probably wouldn't find fault in some really good wine out of a box.
The sub is good. It's not going to shake your walls down, consider the size and wattage we're talking here. It's perfectly adequate considering the speakers it is paired with. You notice it when watching a good action movie. It isn't obtrusive, the lows fill in nicely and don't overpower the rest of the music. Apparently that is good.
Overall the sound is "warm" in my opinion - probably due to the wood structure. I like that.
These speakers are heavy. They are well made. What you're paying for here, I suspect, is build quality and quality of the components as much as design. I don't know that Edifier is doing anything design-wise of the actual speakers that hasn't been done for decades already, but they seem to have put together a really good package for a reasonable price.
Bluetooth works well. RCA inputs work fine. They give you gold plated cables, which is nice. Did not try optical yet.
If I needed to fill a larger space than this office I'd probably go for their larger and more expensive 350 model found on this site.
I will definitely be looking at this brand in the future when the need arises.
Are they worth the price? So far I think so. Logitech makes some very popular 2.1 sets for less, but I just didn't want speakers that look like computer speakers, I wanted a good quality 2.1 bookshelf type set that would work on my computer desk, and that is these. Plus, these are actually available and I could get them in 2 days.

Pleasantly impressed
I must be honest and say that I didn’t expect much from these speakers as they’re not name brand. However, they have more than impressed me in their usage.I ordered these for my computer set up that has been with me since I started working from home during the 2020-2021 time frame. When they arrived I was taken aback at the size of these speakers! These are not tiny satellite speakers at all. These are full blown bookshelf speakers with a heavy 20lb (guessing) subwoofer! These are big! The nice thing about big, is that also means big sound! Since they are too big for my computer I set about to figure out where and how to use these things.I hooked all the connections up and read through the instructions and was very pleasantly surprised that the connection for the music (your phone) is Bluetooth as well! I just figured the bluetooth was just there to connect the wireless subwoofer to the main unit (which it is) but didn’t think it would also be used for connecting to your music source. This new found fact give me a lot more options in where I can use these now!I ultimately settled on putting them in my garage for all the time I spend out there wood working or wrenching on my motorcycle. The set up for the speakers is as follows:1). The main speaker of the two needs to be powered and has about a 5’ cord to do so. The other speaker is NOT connected wirelessly to the main unit and needs to be in range of the powered speaker and connected via RCA cable (those red & white cables). Remember, even though they include all the cables you will need if you need to separate the second speaker further away from the main powered speaker you’re only limited in range by the length of cable you can buy. The subwoofer is also powered and needs its own outlet but since it’s connected to the main speaker via Bluetooth it can’t be more than 20’ or so away from that main speaker. One note: I don’t have this issue but Bluetooth is notoriously a weak signal so if you’re hiding your subwoofer in a cabinet or behind a couch or something there **may** be an issue with the signal. Again, I haven’t experienced anything like that because that’s not my set up at the moment, but it is worth mentioning. For me, this is where my setup ends because I won’t be connecting these speakers to any powered or wired source but will use them for Bluetooth podcasts and music in my garage. If you do plan on connecting this unit to a television or a computer just know that the main powered speaker needs to be within cable connection range to your source device. There is no HDMI connection but it does have an optical out cable which is nice.So that’s about it. It took me longer to unbox the speakers themselves than it did to set them up! In my garage I usually have an air mover (a glorified powerful fan) running and the door open to the sounds of the street and these speakers have no issues drowning out that extra noise. They produce a very good and clear sound for my podcast speech and really blast the tunes when I listen to music. That subwoofer makes all the difference in adding that extra bass so the satellite speakers can focus on the highs and mids.Again, I must admit that I am very pleasantly surprised by these speakers and they’re a joy to have!I hope this review was helpful to you.
