I can't speak to durability at this point since I just received my blinds and installed them today. But what I will say is I'm quite pleased with them, especially considering the cost compared to others I've looked at. I chose to mount the track to my 8' ceiling and the panels were long enough that I still ended up trimming 3 3/4" from the bottom of each panel. I was quite pleased to see the generous length even though it wasn't necessary in my situation. The blackout function of the panels is excellent and I even noticed some sound reduction (I live near railroad tracks) although it was minor. That said there was enough of a difference to be noticeable if the panels were open or closed over my patio door - but don't expect a miracle lol.
The installation itself went quite smoothly and unlike some products I've purchased the instructions were accurate and clear enough to easily follow. Although I do have good handyman skills and use them for side jobs I believe almost anyone would be able to hang these panels.
The only drawback I see to these panel blinds would be in homes with children/teens who aren't prone to exercise ordinary care in opening and closing them. The hangers the panels attached to are aluminum and the ceiling tracks are made of aluminum and plastic. Long-term durability in those homes may be somewhat questionable so those people may wish to spend more and buy a stronger product. For everyone else I would say they are robust enough to hold up to long-term everyday use.
Overall, I have no problem recommending these panel blinds to anyone looking for an attractive set at a good price.

Great for Arizona
We bought these with the hope it would keep our dining room cooler. The 5 o’clock sun hits the sliding glass door and bakes us while we’re eating dinner every night with our old Vertical blinds. You can literally put your hand in between the large panels and feel the heat that it is holding back. It is amazing. It has made such a difference. We installed them and just over an hour and a half. I would recommend measuring the panels from the top and the bottom before cutting. We had one panel that was slightly longer than the others, and if we had just measured from the bottom, it would have been incorrect.

Like anything there are pro's and con's to these blinds but for me the pro's outweigh the cons. To get the cons out of the way, the first con out the gate is the instructions. I would not consider myself a handyman in general but am comfortable with Ikea type builds. When I looked at the instructions, they were extremely confusing. They provide tools to measure and mark places to predrill holes, but it didn't make much sense to me at all. I ended up skipping ahead, extended the rail to the size I needed and held it up to figure out where to put the screws.
The other con is the material is easy to tear on the backside. It uses velcro to stay up and one of the panels I didn't have straight so when I went to pull it off, I grabbed it just under the velcro strip and the material on the back tore. So make sure to grab by the velcro strip to remove and re-apply.
The only other con I can think of off hand is assembling the bottom portion of the panel. For some it may be easy but I had a hard time getting the fabric to lock in evenly after cutting it to size. Not a big deal but something to be aware of.
As far as the pro's, once you get it up, it looks great. With direct sunlight coming in while they're shut, it does a good job keeping the room dim and has a contemporary look with sunlight variation contrasts coming in between the panels.
The panels glide smooth and easily. By design it can be opened from left to right or right to left without any configuration changes. One thing I don't recall if it's advertised or not but it also blocks a lot of heat coming in from the direct sunlight. Standing by the blinds in the past I could always feel heat. With these I do not which was a nice bonus I didn't expect.
Another easter egg I came across as a pro is the top rack has a channel that fits the Philips HUE LED stips pefectly to the point I could lay them in there and not even stick them to the top and holds it snug. I never intended to put lights on the top but just worked out great with the track design. :)
Overall if you don't need "privacy" like with vertical blinds partially opened, I think these are a great alternative. They keep the room dark and cool. The rail system is butter smooth and panels glide with ease. There is some manual labor to get these just right and will take a bit of time if you're not used to installing things like this but once it's done, it's worth it in my opinion.

Nice alternative to traditional vertical blinds

Our walkout patio with sliding glass door had traditional vertical blinds from the people that lived there before us that stopped working. I was looking for an alternative because I didn't need partial light or privacy and just didn't like the procedures required for those twisting them open sliding to the side and vise versa. I also have a projector so I wanted to make the room dark as needed during the day.
