I am a large but decided to play it safe and get an XL based on my prior experiences. It may be a little large, but I like the fit; it's a robe not a dress. There is good coverage, it looks pretty, and the price was right.

You're going to need to have it altered

You're going to need to have it altered unless you like those sleeves getting into everything you eat, into the sink when you wash your hands etc. Those sleeves also seem to get caught in doorknobs. I've been using a safety pin to make the opening smaller, but it's ugly and you have to be careful when you put your hands in the sleeves in order to get them through the hole, not caught up in the pin.

The belt loops are placed very low, So unless you're 6 feet tall (i'm 5 foot six ) the belt will end up around your hips. Yes you can hike it up, but the material is so silky and slippery that it doesn't stay hiked up for very long. While it has an inside tie to secure the left-hand side of the robe in the front, it's impossible to do that with the right hand side, the side that you pull over the left-hand side. Again, because the fabric is so silky and slippery, it immediately falls open and you're going to need another pin or something else to keep it closed. And the belt easily falls out of the loops. All of this can be fixed if you take it to a tailor, if you have the extra money, unless you're able to do it yourself. So in spite of its positive attributes, the whole thing ends up being very frustrating and irritating not to mention more expensive and time consuming .

But I do love the print and it's a great robe to wear when a regular bathrobe is too warm. I just wish it was more user-friendly.
