I paint houses and I mostly use my grinder with sanding discs. But occasionally I need to use it for a home project Like cutting a bolt or sheet metal. The sanding discs I use have a backing plate and a different type of flange nut. A week or so ago I went to put a cutoff wheel on it and couldn't find the original flange nut and backing plate. I probably spent half the day searching my shop, basement and truck looking for it but only found frustration. I didn't even know what it was called. I found this listing and though it didn't list my grinder model specifically I ordered it anyway. It fits my grinder perfectly and now I even have a spare!

I really only needed the outer nut,. I lost the one that goes to my grinder. Also was given a second grinder (the same outer nut missing) from a company for having a bad cord. I ordered a new cord from Amazon as well. So now with two grinders, I don't risk losing the retaining nut. One has a flapper wheel, the other grinder has a stone wheel.
Fits perfectly on my DEWALT and MILWAUKEE. Take the time to properly measure depth and thread pitch.
