Easy Install with Extension
I did not have a “Slip on” pipe extending from my shower wall after i removed old bathtub Downspout. Went to local hardware store- no luck. I went to a plumbing supply store. They sold me a 4 1/2” copper pipe extension (about $10) that screwed directly into this downspout and the hex nut at the wall. Added some teflon tape. I did need the circular plate cover to fill the gap between the wall and spout. I’d imagine that if I bought a 4” copper pipe extension it would be flush with wall without the plate cover. Anywho, pipe, Teflon tape, silicone- easy peasey. Get the pipe extension-definitely worth it, plus when it breaks down again it will be an easy repair.

I did not have a “Slip on” pipe extending from my shower wall after i removed old bathtub Downspout. Went to local hardware store- no luck. I went to a plumbing supply store. They sold me a 4 1/2” copper pipe extension (about $10) that screwed directly into this downspout and the hex nut at the wall. Added some teflon tape. I did need the circular plate cover to fill the gap between the wall and spout. I’d imagine that if I bought a 4” copper pipe extension it would be flush with wall without the plate cover. Anywho, pipe, Teflon tape, silicone- easy peasey. Get the pipe extension-definitely worth it, plus when it breaks down again it will be an easy repair.

This was easy to install, even for someone like me who has never installed anything like this before. It looks beautiful. Be aware that the water comes out in a rather messy gush compared to all of the other tub spouts I have experienced. It looks good when not in use, though, so it works for me.

Excellent product. I was worried that it would not fit on the pipe. This spout comes with an insert adapter to screw into a short pipe if you need it. In my case, I did not need the adapter. Works great. Looks great!

Bought this to replace our 15 year old Moen spout when the plastic diverter wore out. The finish matches the faucet perfectly ! The old one screwed on so I cut the threaded fitting off of the existing 1/2 in pipe and used a file to create a chamfer on the end of the pipe so the “ o ring “ seal would not be damaged when the new spout was slid on. I also placed a little bit of dish detergent on the pipe and slid the new spout on. The diverter itself is plastic and looks just like the Moen it replaced. Works great so far. We will see how long it lasts.

My review isn’t as valuable as others because I had to remove the slip on fitting and use this as a screw on, and it didn’t screw all the way to the tile but left a small gap (covered in clear caulk). However once it was put on it looks nice, matches well and works well.
I don’t think any of these hold up as long as they should though…I have replaced every few years because the diverter always fails. If anyone knows of a truly long term part…I want it. :)

**UPDATED after using a bit** I truly like this tub spout and diverter better than any of the others i have used before. The diverter function is perfect and when i shut off the water, the diverter pull drops by itself (none of the ones i have used before have done so and i've had to force them back down). Really happy with this item.
